“Happiness is a mysterious thing to be found;
somewhere between too little and too much”

About the Author
Ruskin Bond, is one of those vintage writers who needs no introduction. I think he is everyone’s favorite (Specially the students from the ISC and ICSE school board, I was one of them)! Bond was born in Kasauli, Punjab State Agency, British India. For all those who don’t know what Punjab State Agency is, Punjab being one of the princely states had come under the relationship in which region controls the foreign policy and relations of a tributary state, while allowing them to have an internal law of the British crown after the 1814-16 Anglo-Nepalese War.
Bond did his schooling from a school in Mussourie. He never had a happy childhood being a son to the Divorced parents was always difficult. However, he was close to his father and mostly describes the days he spent with his father as the best time of his life.
Born and brought up in the hills has influenced his work at the great extent. “The Room On The Roof”, was his first novel, that got published when he was 21. Being a writer for almost 50 years Bond has blessed his readers with his book that are experimented in all the genres.

Book Review #8
A beautiful book that educate it’s readers about the rivers in India and the infrastructure which is naturally and manually created around them. Written in simple English, the book is easy to connect with and imagine the visual.
Easy going yet informative, short yet detailed this book is recommended specially for the children in the age group, 10-15 and to those who have never set their foot here, this book serves as a love-filled invitation. Accept it! This is my Niece’s first ever read and she loved it as much as I did. The legacy has been forwarded!
Always remember, THE KIDS NEVER LISTEN, THEY IMITATE! (The is My observatory line, not copied 😉 )
